My Story
My first touch with Art Metals was as a student in high school. I had an excellent teacher who inspired me to work to my fullest potential to create unique, original, well-designed work in sterling silver. She was such a great inspiration that I followed in her footsteps and went on to pursue my bachelor of science degree in visual art and to later become an art educator.
After retiring from a 15 year career in art education I am in my studio making my own work. I am finding motivating myself to be as difficult, joyful and rewarding as motivating a classroom of eager high school students.
I work primarily in Sterling Silver, adding an accent of 14kt gold here and there. I recently earned a McKnight Grant to learn the art and technique of Cloisonne' Enamel. It started a whole new love affair.
My work can be found online via Facebook, Instagram, Etsy as well as in several regional gallery shops.
